   The first big pow day of the year for me. Tamar, Luke, the dogs Davey and Whisper and I headed for Artist Point with the snow blowing in our faces. Packs of back country people were coming and going from either side of the hike up to Artist Point. A couple of excursions off of the beaten track showed at least 2 feet of pow. It was a bit heavy, but really nice for the first big powder day of the year for me. We only took one trip down because of our late start, but it was definitely a satisfying run as we had first tracks down this particular chute. I think the huge rocks at the entrance was a detour, but those are just the gates to one of the funnest early season runs in the Artist Point area.
