The Lake Clara loop is all in! Skied car to car. The rain we had earlier in the week changed the consistency of the snow covering the boulders above the lakes. Right now if it is white, it is covered. The surface is firm with 2 to 4 inches of light cold snow on top. Some wind scoured patches, but good skiing anyway. Never broke the surface with skis on, but you punched right through with skis off. We had one short run above the lakes and then exited via Central Park to the service road. Excellent skiing. Mission Ridge opens tomorrow. I peeked inside the boundary and saw the lifts running and really good looking coverage on the runs. I bet the first few runs off piste will be fine, but after the crust is broken, the rocks will be nasty.
