Worth a trip up! 4-6" powder on older consolidated 10-16" base. No rocks. Yet.
Bad news update: Rock skis broke at their rotten binding holes when I hit a small dip in the snow.
Good news: The Manaslus were in the car nearby, and there were no rocks to hit! The skin track had no traversing so the skinny rock ski skins worked fine on the Mannys.

Nice even weighting. Given the skis' history, that must've been one heck of a dip in the snow. Summit West is a fearsome place.
