Does anyone know if the 3+ (or other beacons) comes with a battery? I'm going to give the shop a call tomorrow to check, but thought I would see if anyone else has encountered this.

I purchased an Ortovox 3+ online recently. The condition was listed as new. Everything about the packaging, condition, and quick tests of the beacon after it arrived suggests that it is, in fact, new. However, it came with a battery already inside. 99% when I turned it on. No corrosion or anything on it.

So, did you call? What did they say? I'm curious.

I contacted the dealer today, and they said new 3+ beacons do come with a battery installed. He also confirmed the beacon I ordered is new.
Now out to practice for winter!
