Things are looking pretty good in the Selkirks with excellent snow over an ice crust in sheltered areas over 1900m and decent snow below that for a ways (1500m). Attempted to ski Bruins Glacier and then 8812 Bowl, but we lost our vis after topping out by way of Bruins Ridge. Took the safe way back home down Bruins Ridge after waiting for an hour. Pretty thick ice crust under the new snow at 2400m on the west aspect of 8812 bowl, but one does not feel it while skiing sheltered areas.

Slept in the parking lot overnight after meeting up with one of our friends at the top of the pass. In the morning we realized we forgot to bring her beacon with us... She headed back to Reve to rent a beacon while we set a skin track through the Teddy Bear Trees side of the Grizzly Slide Path up to 2000m. Met her at the bottom and went back up for another lap this time just a bit higher to around 2200-2300m.

Terrain photos of STS and Video, with a shot of Bruins Ridge thrown in.

Messed up the photos somehow...
