March 30, 2005, Mt Baker Ski Resort

Went after lift served turns today with the high avy potential. Arrived at the resort and on the lift @ 10am. The pace got tracked out pretty quick. The himspheres area looked awesome but there were dozens of naturally triggered avys all over the place, and the crowns looked thick.<br><br>Had some fun just next to the gate near the top and running down into the chute. Powder was deep and light until noon and then it got wet and heavy as the day progressed. Seemed like there were quite a few people in the BC, even with the "Considerable" warning above 4000 feet, and the perfect slopes in the Hemispheres area. I was very impressed how the patroled the gate and kept the non-bc travelers out.<br>
