The clear and warm day persuaded us to ski early October.
Circled and zigzagged through the overflowing Artist Point parking lot a few times to find a spot - pretty much the hardest part of the trip.
Trail to the ridge was crowded, so we were kept to a modest pace. In addition to the day hikers taking in the great weather, we saw about ten or so folks with the same thought as us. A bit over two hours from stepping off of the parking lot, we finally had skis on our feet.
Did a shorter than preferred circuit due to a late start. Short laps getting shorter as we made our way back to trail.
All in all, a beautiful day featuring some fun slushy October turns.

"Slushy"? We be jealous! Did you ski on the S side of Pt. Ridge? Or did the N side soften up too?
I might have ogled your skis up on the trail Sunday afternoon... can't ski due to an arm injury but we were jogging up there and it was lovely.
