And by 5x laps, I mean I lapped the nice area from climbers right to the first rock bands the trail gets close to (about 600 vert).

The area there is really smooth and with a 10-15 minute hike from the bottom to there, it's really fun to lap over and over.

On a side note, on the way to Rainier on the road a bit before Ashford, I saw what appeared to be some jurassic bird. It was huge, on the side of the road, had beady eyes which it used to stare me down as I drove by. The thing was giant, I can't stress this enough, it looked almost like a peacock w/o the tail or something. Anyways, was odd seeing this giant half human half bird thing on the side of the road.
Brian, it could have been one of two things:
- A Heron,
- or, did you maybe break protocol, and drink your beers before you skied?
