Two hour walk along the Scott Paul trail and then up the first snow crossing the trail and a bit of moraine brought us to skinnable snow with one 100' carry to reach continuous skinning around 6800'.  There seemed to be a light dusting of new snow from Tuesday (or Wednesday?) at 7000' and 2" above 8000'.

We skinned in surprisingly cool, cloudy, and breezy conditions to 8600' where the old snow became stiffer under the nice new corn and we never quite seemed to reach the elusive sunny slopes above us. From there we skied smooth grainy corn to 7000' and soft butter to 5800'.  Only the final 300' to 5500' were at all cuppy!  At least six other skiers were out there to enjoy September turns.

Despite the clouds that blew in and out, I still had a fun day -- but then skiing the Wild man is always entertaining!

The fun never ends.
