Being that this was my last possible day to get some turns in, Tamar and I headed for the Ridge. We got a late start and started hiking from the trail head at about 2:30. The new bridge builders were hard at work. The trail was in great hiking shape except for detour around the bridge. The wildflowers were in full beauty. We made it up to the ridge at about 5:30 and the scenery was awesome with the light poking through at times and lighting up Baker. The snow skied amazingly well and we were on the run back to the car and arrived around 8:00. Thanks to Tamar for  coming along and getting her turns in. It wasn't the easiest of hikes, but worth every step.more pics

Thanks for the TR. Good to hear they are fixing the bridge, last time I was there the alternative crossing was a bit sketchy at 3 AM.

Ooh, good to hear how conditions are there.  (And, beautiful photos!)  Any idea around what elevation you hit snow?

Yes there were definitely a few cracks and crevasses here and there. This is a small hole I was hiking by.

Vince,
Really beautiful images.  Please give Davey an ear scratch for me.  My boy Joe is too old to make the trips anymore and it makes me sad.  Davey made me smile today!

Making people smile seems to be one of Davey's top qualities. He really enjoyed that scratch on the ear. Sorry to here that Joe is to old. I know how tough that is.
