The Obstruction Point road opened a few days ago and we took advantage of an easy hike to our traditional season ending descent of the north side of Elk Mountain. We were treated to firm, Olympic size suncups which made the skiing challenging. But the continuous 1200 vf descent and stunning views ended our season on a smile.
