July 24-25, 2012Inter Glacier and Paradise 7/24-25

I skied the Inter Glacier on the 24th and had Glacier Basin to myself once past the trail. Lucked out to see the resident young bear hanging out there. Started skinning quite low. Thought about Ruth but the snow didn't look continuous and was more suncupped. Inter is getting a bit bumpy, but was quite fine for me. Lovely hike out on the nice new trail.

I was up on the Paradise the next day hoping to meet up with some fellow TAYers but ended up alone and putzing around on the west side of the glacier - not great skiing. Gotta get back there with some guides next week! (this guy was my only companion and I should have followed when he headed straight down the glacier!)
