South facing snow seems to be melting out rapidly. A counterclockwise circumnavigation of Naches peak now involves about a half mile of walking to gain the southeast ridge. With a little care we found continuous 800-900' runs into the north bowl on firm snow with small suncups. We thought about a side trip to Zaps peak (Peak 6567) but the snow looked too sparse to make it worth it. High overcast, filtered sun, great views.
