None of us had ever skied on Sourdough ridge, so we figured we'd give that a try. I was thinking that perhaps skiing a bit low might avoid some degree of grabby mush from the newer snow up higher. Indeed we had very fast big-grain corn snow skiing, even later in the afternoon when the melt had gone several inches down. Started just west of Antler and worked over to where the pack trail crosses over the ridge by that peaklet closer toward Fremont. Good mellow multi-basin fun! Quite the entertainment for the folks hiking up to the ridge it seems. We were able to get up to and off the ridge with continuous skiing from the lot.
heres a few photos from the day!
