I ended up working most of the AM and left home at 12:30, took the dog up for one afternoon lap all alone on Silver Peak. I drove up the road until blocked by snow, carried skies over snowpatches and bare spots until into the lower NE basin area and skinned up from there. On the way back down I was kind of surprised at how little walking I did by doing the skis off/on/off/on/repeat¦ thing. Home in time to buy/grill salmon well before dark. I love where we live!
Watch out for hungry holes especially up on the ridge flank.
Saw one TAY lurker heading up at noon as I was getting close to the car.
