July 4 Heather Pass

Had eyes on Black but we turned back at the crux giving a leisure day of lizarding on ridgetops. We found continuous snow from parking lot except stretch where Lake Ann comes into view to just below Heather Pass. Skinned through woods uphill of stream, downhill of trail until intersected trail below the lake. If you want to skin go this weekend. Snow was excellent once on Heather Ridge and above and the route to Black is still loaded (see pic). The lake bowl had sun cups and a few runnels but soft enough to carve. Gorgeous day with time to peak gaze in all directions.
