Sad that we had missed Silas by mere minutes we pressed on. This was the first time skiing Chinook for the three of us. Skied NE and W aspects on Naches Peak then crossed Tipsoo Lake and up to the saddle above the parking area. We left the truck at 1030 and snow was softened up. Skinning on steeper sections were slidy at times due to surface mushiness. Otherwise, skiing was great. Minimal suncuppage on the slopes and really good coverage so far. Plenty of skiing to be had up there. The N/NW side of Yakima looked to have plenty of snow too.

It was a fun day for sure and nice to explore a new area. Thanks Ralph and Chuck for the smiles.
Hi Ron, it's been a long time! Funny I was talking about your famous mountain margaritas on the drive up. Good ole' times of the Slush Cup days.
I look forward to reading the trip reports as folks get out this weekend in the stellar weather we are finally having as I suspect there will be some folks going big. I have to work the next 5 nights in the ER (which I love), but would really enjoy reading others excursions. Stay safe!
