there was some freshies up there! about a 20 mile round trip with 8,000 vertical feet of climbing, in 14 long hours. parking is still at crofton ridge trailhead due to big snow drifts, leaving 4 extra miles of dirt road walking.

was able to skin all the way to the top of pikers peak. a couple of portages at the lunch counter. took alot of quick "peggieh" type breaks.

Nice tracks over the hump in the last picture  :0

Those "Hump Jumps" are from Team TLT5 (except for the Snowboard track).
Nice job! Are you guys the snowboarders that traversed out of the chutes early, with the dog?

Sweet.  How far did you have to carry going in?

the snowboard track is mine, that is the only one i claim.

we were the last ones down that day for sure. we traversed out at treeline, but probably should have followed the tlt5 tracks. one splitter, one skier. one more skier in shorts who turned around at lunch counter.

about a 2 mile carry (each way) if you follow the road 4080 approach. if you know where your going you could probably go right up morrison creek, mostly on snow.

here is a shot of a bit of pow being thrown up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjmj2BpbJZY&feature=plcp
