Spent 4 days on Rainier day tripping out of Silver Springs Campground, checking a few tours off the list:

6-20: Inter Glacier-Brilliant sunshine and perfect corn.  What great fall line skiing.  An absolutely perfect day all the way around.
6-21: Frying Pan-More sun but tricky snow. Ski cuts on Meany Crust sent down considerable hissers and kept us on our toes.
6-22: Double Peak/Chimneys-Aborted at snow line due to deteriorating weather.  Spent the rest of the afternoon "Drinking it Blue."
6-23: Naches Peak Circumnavigation: Drinking pays some dividends as we get a 3 hour window of decent weather.  All aspects skied well.  Cornices on East side still huge.  Climbing back up to the road the skies opened up leaving us completely soaked.

Beers and food at the Blue Spruce in Packwood wrapped it all up.  All in all a great four days, but Double and the Chimneys will haunt me for another year.
