Carried skis the entire way to Ingalls Pass.  If following the summer trail, continuous snow starts about .5 mile past the Longs Pass junction.  Overcast weather the entire day with limited views and 2 minutes of drizzle.  Still lots of snow in Headlight Basin and around Ingalls Lake.  Given all the snow, the route to the base of the rock pitch was dubbed Ingallsham Direct because we never went to the lake.

While skinning up to the rock, I looked down at my bindings and realized the tele-gods had spoken (note the missing heel risers).

We continued up listening to the Mountaineers party of six, who left cinammon buns for us on the summit (thanks John!), exchange belay commands.  Radka led up, her first alpine lead, and would lead the rest of the way.  After finishing the first pitch, another party of 12 WACers arrived!  Holy crap, glad we got on the rock before they did!  The summit offered zero views (cloud deck around 6600') but we used our imagination and pointed to all the big peaks.

The ski down was brief but enjoyable (around 2:45pm).  Over softened and cooked corn in places but otherwise great skiing.

Ski-assisted rock climbing. That's hard core. Congrats on your summit!
