King 5 TV news is reporting a male skier fatality on Mt. Baker at 8,200 feet. Not much detail in the report.

They mentioned a name and it is a familiar one to me. The last time I checked it was not on their website either. Would love to find out if it is my aquiantence.

Scary and sad. I was just up there recently in great conditions, and was at heliotrope on friday looking at the CH thinking of how good it looked. Thinking of his family and ski partners now.

Keith was a dear friend of mine and will be missed by many. His TAY login was 'skinup'. The info currently reported in the Seattle Times is consistent with the level of information that the family currently has. Please send me a PM if you would like more information.

Mount Baker looked so gosh darn pretty from Mount Shuksan on Friday. We commented on it many times throughout the day. That is why I could understand why Keith was there to ski like we were. But it's a shame how a place so gorgeous can become so ugly in an instant.
RIP Keith.

It's always a shock - what a blow for the Hardy family. You have my heartfelt sympathy and condolences for your loss, and the loss of a kindred spirit.

Looking at his 25 posts it looks to me like he was a really nice guy. Agreed. And he mentioned a wife and young son. My thoughts go out to them.

May this accident serve as a reminder to us all to always do our best in, and out of, the mountains, and may Keith's soul be free.

I met Keith earlier this season carpooling up to Rainier. It was awesome chatting with him on our way up to Muir.
What a great guy

Sad to lose anybody so young, at the start of his career, with young family. Tragic. RIP Keith. Condolences to family and friends.

Shared a boot-pack up Bryant Col with Keith and his bro (who's name I forget) on January 6th. Was immediately obvious he was a warm and welcoming dude who was crazy about the mountains and had a keen eye on safety.
My heart cries for his family and we'll honor his spirit this week on our holy mountain.

Very very sad - condolences to Keith's family and friends - so sorry for your loss. I briefly met Keith in the north cascades this spring. He had his perma grin on and was introducing a friend of his to backcountry skiing. Brief as our encounter was, Keith's excitement was contagious. What a great guy. He will be missed by many.
