I know, a Muir report is pretty routine for the Seattle-area skiers who are at it all year, but just wanted to post it up from our group of Oregonians that we really enjoyed it up there yesterday.  Great conditions for the skin up, amazingly calm and warm at Muir, hanging out in shorts and bare feet (Camp Med?) and prime buttery snow for the descent from 10,000 ft down to around 7,000 ft.  Progressively sticky below that, of course, but who's complaining when you can ski right to the parking lot?

The biggest surprise to me was the heavy hiker-to-skier ratio.  I figured there would be a lot more people skiing and riding, but we only saw a handful of others on boards, but lots of hikers and climbers.
Welcome to our back yard. Glad you could us. Drop in any time.
We like Mt Hood as well.
And thanks for that great photo of Mt Adams and the Eastern Tatoosh. :)

Thanks Ron - it's a pretty sweet back yard!
