Silver spring season is open!  Thanks to Tim Tiejen who drove his high clearance van through the snow berm at 2500' we were able to drive clear roadway to 3500'. Then a little walk on the road before continuous snow.  Early in the day there was light frost on the surface.  West facing slopes were smooth and starting to corn.  East and North were buttery.

Of course Yoshiko wanted to summit so we did the hike up there, and since she was uncomfortable hiking in ski boots, she went barefoot figuring if Sherpas do it, she could.  Lisa showed up to join us on the ski out. Beautiful weather and fun with senior sitters!
great snow, sunny weather and a fun time.  A little late but here are some pics plus a link to video of Silas skiing it up (https://vimeo.com/44214555).  Bad video quality due to my bad skills and equipment - I think I need to get some advice from 'freebird' on how to make good videos...

Put on your damn pants and shirt, Silas.  Sheez
