We did not get that lucky weather window as hoped.  Skinned up to about 6500' and made camp...very windy and rainy (wouldn't be surprised if the summit got a bunch of snow).  Spent a lazy morning in the tent waiting for it to clear before deciding to save it for another day since it was my first volcano experience.  Interesting ski down with rain and low viz.  You can drive up to approximately 1 mile away from junction where you hang a left and go over bridge.  You can start skinning after about a 5-10 minute carry from car.

Had a great trip to PNW and met some great folks.  Will be out to bridge July/August and keep my T.A.Y. streak alive...and hopefully get out here for good by next year.

some pics from Baker and rest of the week.

Welcome to TAY, chief.

the volcanoes never make it easy unless they want too. you got baptized buddy from the precip. above and the frozen below. good thing you got some clearing early so you could see the view of the cascades.
holler when you get back

Thanks BobbyF - was great to get up there and poke around at least....will be there for next trip.
