Actually Kam, at 4:52 am Baker reported 13" in 24 hrs. Is your little birdy marharf or tim_place? I think they're trying to keep you away from their stashes! ;)

well then, 13 is certainly better than 6.  i got a report from WOW last night.  anyway, good to hear snow is falling...<br><br>edited: btw Sky, i think 13" is enough to try out the new home-made water skis. i know you want to ride 'em, 140mm at the waist you know.

Baker 13"<br>Snoqualmie 8"<br><br>These are the reported snow totals from the ski areas. DOT page reports 10".<br>I was up there at noon today and 8" near the summit looks pretty much correct, and about 6" at Hyak where I had to shovel the wet stuff.

Excerpt from the PDX discussion :<br>

SPLIT FLOW PATTERN WILL CONTINUE OVER THE AREA THROUGH THE FORECAST PERIOD WITH THE MAIN ENERGY BEING PUSHED SOUTH OF US INTO CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AND THE NORTHERN BRANCH AFFECTING MAINLY SOUTHERN BC. THIS BEING SAID...WE WILL BE AFFECTED AT TIMES BY SYSTEMS FROM THE NORTH OR SOUTH WHEN THE FLOW FLUCTUATES.

Confirmed: 12" new at 4000', twin lakes, off Hwy 542, today. The whole valley waiting for first turns and I had to turn around 'cause I was solo. (I don't want to die in a completly foolish way.) Dug a pit to find the fresh snow seemed well bonded to the existing crust, I'd still be there farming turns if I had a partner.

Steven's this morning had about 8" down in the lot, and 2"-10" (depending on what the wind did) from lot to top of 7H chair. Skiing in 7H bowl reminded me of inbounds Summit County skiing on an "OK" day - moderate amount of new snow over large icy bumps. For those who like to ski bumps fast without all the beating, this is it. Broke trail with some effort, much easier after the track was laid - somewhat heavy snow. Slightly above freezing when I got back to car (9:30 am). Good pre-work fun.
