Crystal - 06/10
« on: 06/10/12, 03:59 PM »

Very nice day, lots of sun, very nice soft muck every where from the start this morning, kinda big early bucket line, but we could have used a few more hardcores (or snowboard groomers) to ski out a few more lines on the front of REX – still mighty good high speed GS turns through Sunnyside and very  nice bumps in a lot of places – Grubstake, Showtime REX, Lucky Bumps, OuterFerks and also fun out PB way. Valley bowl was a little stickier than I liked so we did not do many runs in the Valley. Steep was the place to be, flats even with different wax and a little mid day paste were not to pleasant for me – pretty sticky.  Saw a lot of folks having big fun today.  Nice talking to all of you and skiing some big fun dropping lines.  Think today might have been the real breakpoint for my season, off next weekend, hopefully something is left at the end of the month.  Its been a great 7 months and a very nice spring.  Bare spots getting big - and fun. Crowd was pretty light as usual,  A lot pretty full.

Spent most of the day with PNWBrit ( banned) doing sidecountry runs in the park.....tired ourselves out by 2:00 Pm and then Joedaker turns up with fresh legs so I went with him and dropped DP again....5,000 VF of skinning plus top to bottom resort runs and bearpits....I'm tired.

Soup in Base Lodge was baked potato.....I was skeptical but it was really good.
