My wife and I got up to the North Cascades Highway for the first time and skinned from the road up a chute just west of Early Winters Spires. Saw my first ever dog-induced avalanche. A skier, a snowboarder, and a pup came charging down from up above and triggered a couple of very slow-moving wet slides. Everyone below was able to get out of the way in plenty of time. But slide aside, the turns were creamy and fun. And on a belated note, this was my 13th straight month of turns. Hurray!
