UW models said no precip til midday so we tried to sneak in a little skinning. Lightly snowing above 4000' for an hour. At the top of chair 2 we found half an inch of new on 3" consolidated wet snow from the past couple days. Soft smooth skiing with a little grabbing below 4300'. Rain began at 1202pm. We turned tail and headed home.

was the new snow moving around much?
No, it was well glued where we skied: International and Debbie's. . If the NWAC alert makes you ask, I'd guess we were at low enough altitude that there was too little new snow. Also the weather was cloudy and cool.
good to hear! that was the train of thought, planning on going a thousand feet higher tomorrow in the same vicinity, was it fun snow to ski?
