Elliott, Gabe, Matt and I headed out towards the Furher Finger from Paradise Wednesday morning.
With thick cloud on the cold approach nearly to 9k, vis wasn't exactly choice. Above clouds, warmer temps and views were breathtaking. Wet snow point releases observed in the finger, thumb (still goes) and on the Wilson HW.
Gabe & Matt climbed partway up the finger, while E and I descended from just below the entrance. Smooth skiing (despite limited visibility) on the Wilson, through the fan, and from Glacier Vista back to the car. An early arrival back to the car guaranteed cold powder directly to the cement.
Early dinner/ late lunch at the Highlander supplemented by accidental birthday cake topped the day off deliciously.
