Crystal - 06/03
« on: 06/03/12, 05:57 PM »

Day started grey, colder, firmer on all the slopes, more folks skiing the only early morning (till around 10:30) skiable line – LS groomer – though a few either really good snow sliders or maybe fools tried various upper mountain slopes, I wasn’t impressed by what I saw.  Nothing much groomed in the Valley which kept us out of there till late morning.  But when the filtered sun heat worked its magic things got a whole lot better.  Mid day till when we left (a little before I would have preferred) things were great pretty much every where, the extra firm over night improved the slide-oh-factor a lot (or maybe the warm temp wax I found in my ski tune drawer).  Felt like more folks on the slopes today, almost had to wait to get on the chairs. Brown areas bigger and getting bigger.  Many areas skied today will not be skiable next weekend.  Still managed to ski down close to the bottom when we quit, but not as far as yesterday and it was more challenging finding the correct route.  Wore more stuff all day and warmer gloves.  Another fun day. Sorry a lot of the core group did not show up for what looks to be the last day of REX – it was fun, Dang it

That is good news.
Figured it would be the last weekend for Rex as well.
