Tried to figure out a place with low rain possibility today.  Ended up trying for north side of Hawkins but could not negotiate the road even to Gallagher turnoff. Went up southside road instead, all the way to 4200' thanks to Emily's Jeep driving skills. Lotsa stream bar crossings.  We had to walk about half an hour further up the road before skinning.  Skiing was great, 1" grainy butter, no rain, light wind. Late return on i90 made for minimal traffic thankfully.

- weather forecasting, stream crossings & traffic mgmt., that's dedication. she looks pretty dressed up; next to the skis w/ the (funny lookin' binders, just kidding).

Nicely done... I figure you'd get a lot of flex out of the heel on those.

Which road is this? Camp Creek? Boulder Creek? The road to Jolly Mtn TH?

Turn off is just south of Camp creek, as for heading for the "Deroux-Big Boulder" trailhead -- but bear left and cross Camp creek instead of bearing right.

Emily's Jeep managed the water bars,  but I don't think my CRV would have gotten above 3600ft on that old mining road.

Is Emily now a Dynafit athlete? Looks like she is modeling 2014 prototype TLT 6 without the tongue! :D
