Road is driveable to the trailhead. There is a log for scootching across the stream about 100' upstream from the trail, and another set of 3 tenuous small foot logs a bit higher. Continuous snow begins at about 3,000', at the entry to the basin below Headlee pass. Beautiful day. The snow seemed better lower - I assume the older snow down low was consolidated further by the recent storm and the unconsolidated somewhat sticky snow up high was new snow. We set off only some minor hisser sluffs despite some impressive heat.
