News from a friend of mine: "Chinook Pass is supposed to open at 12:00 noon on Friday (05-25-12) , weather permitting!!!! I skinned up today and skied both Yakima and Naches peaks!! Snowed the whole time I was up there!! Skiing was good but real easy to make avalanches start with all(8 inches) the new snow up there,. Even DOT was bombing and filling the road up with snow!!!"

Be careful out there.
