May 23, 2012, Mission Ridge

Trying to take full advantage of the last few remaining top to bottom skiing days left at Mission.  The cooler weather has helped slow the melt, but I suspect that by this weekend it will be hard to make it from the top to bottom without taking skis off.  It was cold this morning (29) so I planned for a late start, and at 1500 it was buttery corn for the top 1200, then a little grabby the rest of the way.  The resort is opening up the summer road with a groomer, and the mud on the lower slopes will not help preserve what little is left on the lower mountain. Yesterday's snow was pretty well melted, except the very top.
