Less new than I was hoping for but still fun conditions in silver basin. Lumpy snow up high and a several feet deep layer of rain saturated, too loose for comfort snow kept this solo skier meadow skipping the soft, creamy snow in the lower half of the bowl. Conditions rapidly improved in the afternoon with heavy snowfall. Got back to the car and regreted not taking another lap so I headed up to Cayuse for a quick one. Snow level right at the pass. Much better consolidation in the easterly facing chute just west of the pass. Great turns everywhere except for the sticky mess under the Quicksilver lift.
