I'm sure glad to see that Amar wrote a detailed report from yesterday, because I'm too tired to write much. I think we (Eric, Mary, Tom, Julie, Allan, Megan, and myself) found pretty much the same snow conditions with the same weather. Skis on ~5800', high point ~10,200 on the bottom part of the Turtle. Snow on the Turtle was bad - breakable crust - then better as we got onto the more S facing slopes below. There were some nice corn-like sections, but also 6-12" granular mush. The last few hundred feet of skiing featured very grabby snow where still in the sun. A beautiful day in a beautiful location with a great group of skiers, and my 100th consecutive month.
