We'd hoped for some sunset corn skiing, and found 2-8" wet new snow under gray skies.  Nevertheless, six of us had fun skinning to the top of Alpental and half of us skied down either side around 7PM.  There was a light sun (or wind?) crust above 4000' and the heaviness of the snow was a bit challenging, but at least it was consistent.  Below 4000' was creamy butter fun skiing.  Sounds like our friends at Hyak had creamy butter and blue skies all afternoon 1-5PM.  Neither group found grabby snow.

This time of year sure provides a variety of temperature and snow conditions.  :)
Cooking over open fires now! Let me guess... aged hickory for that savory yet zest full smokey flavor... or most likely slide alder for that traditional hardwood season.
You are taking this apre parking lot BBQ thing to a whole new level!
Love the cook sticks too :)
