- things are pretty much perfect down in the Sierra. After a 4" 'wind-pack' storm Thurs, the weather is going to stay about avg. for this time of year. Tioga pass is open to the east Yosemite entrance (Mt Dana area, False White, etc.) I didn't even have to do any b/c, as Mammoth Mtn is the place to be when it receives wind-pack snow!
Mt Shasta has nearly 100 percent of avg snowpack, due to the storms earlier in the month. The Fifth season shop says the mtn will have good conditions into July. Their conditions report phone is 530 926 5555. Happy spring skiin'
