With the good weather forecast of sun for the entire weekend Erik Henne and I went out for a long day to do a circumnavigation of Chair Peak with the additions of tagging Kaleetan and Roosevelt along the way.  Started at 7:30 to get an early start before thing warmed up.  From the Alpental parking lot to the base Melawka Valley everything was pretty much frozen.  Skiing over frozen avi debris and wiping out is something I would recommend for everyone.  The '2DrX'? Couloir had a massive cornice on it so we booted up the alternate slope to the left to gain the ridge up to the top.  Skiing down from Kaleetan to the valley floor was great spring corn.

Continued on up to Roosevelt after a lunch break where we had to boot up again.  The booting up on both peaks was a lot work due to sinking in a foot or more per step.  From Roosevelt to the lake the snow went from corn to heavy mush followed by a slog back to Alpental.

In the end: 5,850 ft, 9 miles, 9 hours, 2 peaks-Kaleetan and Roosevelt, and another great day.

Awesome and tiring day.
