Josh and I skiied the Nooksack Traverse this weekend in bluebird conditions (except the first day). Day 1: up the White Salmon, camped on the Crystal at 8000 ft. Day 2: Dropped into the ever exciting E Nooksack Glacier, high speed traverse beneath Jagged Ridge, up and past Icy and Ruth, camped above the Valley of Death. Day 3: Out the Valley of Death, where we feared no evil we could do nothing about.

Quite a tour that I had been eyeing for some time thanks to accounts from when Sky, Lowell, Jason et al skied it years ago. Pics don't do justice to that downhill glide beneath Jagged Ridge; with it constantly eyeing you and tossing crap down its steep ribs and gullies. The avalanche destruction in the Ruth Creek drainage the past 2 years has been quite a sight to see as well...some of those fans look to be over 100 feet deep in places.
