Spearhead Traverse, The Ripsaw
The weather and stability were excellent for the weekend to hit one of my favorite trips.
Usually I have my head down and I'm trying to hammer and get it done. Or stopping along the
way to ski off the summitts and ski a steep line.
This time it was a multi day trip to stop and get a few photos along the way.One cold night
led to an epic playground on the Ripsaw glacier. Which started with a fun mini line on the slanting
East couloir of The Ripsaw which we all ripped in bomber conditions. Then we all skied more mini lines on the Ripsaw as everyone else traversed and missed out on the powder. We continued on that day because I had to be back for Sunday. So as usual it ended up being a hammer fest anyways. The ski out singing pass is always a surprise finishing with the heavier packs.
