Telemetry snafoo?
« on: 04/03/12, 06:09 AM »

Anybody know what's up with NWAC Telemetry at a number of locations - Paradise, White Pass, Alpental, and others?  A day behind..  Server issues?  Winding down for the season?

I have noticed that frequently in the early morning the 10 day view is slow to show the last few hours of the current day. But they show fine in the 24 view. Later in the morning the malfunction goes away.

The most up to date NWAC telemetry is found in the text files, located in this directory: http://www.nwac.us/data/

Specifically, the text file http://www.nwac.us/data/ALL has all the current telemetry from all sites, including several sites that are not listed on the fancy webpages. That's what I usually look at for latest updates from all sites without having to load multiple pages.

Often when other telemetry pages are not updating, the plain text files still are updating. If the plain text are not updating, then nothing is.

On this subject, does anyone know of weather stations in Washington at high elevations (7000+ ft) with year around (or summer months) data online? I could only find Camp Muir data for the last few days.

Thanks

Hi Ian-
As far as I know, there aren't any other telemetry stations above 7000'.  Telemetry and cell towers are at lower elevations so that they're easier to reach for maintenance.  You'll have to look at a nearby, lower-elevation station and approximate conditions up higher.

True sign of the End Times, so pay attention !!   All of yesterdays' 10 day data was current as of midnight.  Somewhere between then and 5AM, the previous 24 hrs vanish, only to reappear at 6AM.  Further proof.  It's been that way for last three days, and the algorithm may be dialing back one hour each time it eliminates the previous 24..  pretty soon today will never happen.   Hurry to check this out ~ while you can, and thank god for PDT - it bought us an extra hour..
