Nathanial's Court Date

Nathanial returned to Revelstoke for his ticket for failure to purchase a park pass. A 2 grand fine motivated Nathanial to make an appearance and plead his case. The judge quickly determined that the prosecutor did not have a case and threw it out. The judge saw, as most of us did, that it would have been difficult to purchase the pass when the information centre was closed; it therefore didn't constitute negligence. The onus is on the Parks to have the facilities available for people to purchase needed passes if they are going to ticket and arrest (if your an american) backcountry skiers. End of saga.

Score one for the tourist (thanks to a logical and equitable judge).
