March 24 Chair peak shoulder

Chair peak tour to snow lake. Took a newbie Ben up for his first real tour and it turned out to be an epic day.

We were on a a tight schedule but timing was impeccable. Climb up to chair shoulder was frozen. Powder on north side was sweet and not too tracked and good for a 2nd. Descend south facing slope to cars  about 200 just before it became too soft. Great day.

In southern CO town of Salida this weekend trying to ski one of the Sawatch peaks.  Very , very low snow year here, so nice to see Chair Peak holding so much snow.  Nice pic's....  Brings back good memories.
