Zack and I got a late start, mainly due to my erroneous doubts about the weather, heading up through the Phantom Trees around 11AM. We were fortunate to see a telemarker skiing the waterfall section of the Phantom Slide as we approached the trees and learned from him that conditions were safe and excellent skiing. An hour and a half later we also enjoyed the ski descent from 5400' in 12" of powder being warmed by the sun.
