Looking for Climbing/Touring partner, Mt Baker-ish
« on: 03/20/12, 05:08 PM »

Hi - Looking to get out as much as possible this Spring. I'm not really sure what the proper way to go about this is so I'll just start with the basics. I live in the Mt Baker area so trips in that vicinity are easier but am willing to go anywhere in WA or BC when it comes down to it. I have a 4x4 truck that will fit 4 people + gear and will be happy to carpool. Just finished AIRE Level 1 Avalanche course, ski at an intermediate ability level (comfortable on 30-35 degrees) and am just getting started skiing in the backcountry but have alpine climbing experience, taught primitive skills at a well know desert school and have WEMT training. Also have Med-Kit, FCC radio license & radios, AT setup, Alpine Rack incl Ice as well as standard emergency equipment.

I am an easygoing and cautious individual in my mid thirties and am usually available to go out anytime Wednesday through Sunday. Give me a message if you're interested in teaming up for some great winter touring &/or climbing.

Thanks,
Jonny

Hi Jonny.  I am also a BC skier/alpine/rock/ice climber, and I often have free weekdays.  I live in Seattle but would like to explore the Baker area.  I'm sending you a PM with contact info.

Jonny

I'm a Baker regular, I sent you an E-mail with my contact info.  I've been looking for some ski buddies for some time also.   I'm heading up tomorrow, if your interested.

Hi Jonny...just sent you an email as well.  Although I live in the Portland area - I'm always up for an excursion, get to Seattle fairly often and would love to explore Baker area, etc.  Hoping for a great spring full of skiing/climbing/exploring the backcountry.
