Well, not really the meadows since it was blowing so hard once you got out of the trees.  No vis, potential frostbite and possible wind slabs kept us down in the trees where it was truly, truly outstanding.  Best skiing I've had up there.

2' or more of snow on top of the crust with the top foot being really light fluff.  Snowing lightly when we arrived, absolutely puking when we left.   Snowing so hard by the time we got to the bottom after our first lap there were a couple inches of fresh in the skin track.   The snow was surprisingly light and fluffy - not the usual wet stuff heralding a warmup.

The trek back out along the Commonwealth trail was the most fun I've ever had on what's usually an annoying, icy, busy slog.  Today it was completely deserted and covered with enough deep pow that you could just fly down it, beside it, whatever.

So sad it's going to warm up tomorrow and probably ruin all that great snow up there.

As we were taking off our skis under the freeway someone in a red pickup called out to us as they drove by.  Anyone here?
