Toured out towards Gem Lake today with Tony and Lanie. South facing slopes got cooked over the last few days, but all the North aspects held great powder giving us a nice ski down to the lake. Was hoping to check out the colouir on the South side of Snow Lake that Cumulous and Trevor hit recently, but the evidence of slabs with 3-4 foot crowns in the vicinity waved us off. Be careful out there!
That's some major action.

thanks for the update!

Dammit, that area was on my short-list for tomorrow.  Thanks for the report!

Impressive!

What aspect is that pic of?
Is this the snow lake/source lake ridge?

Sorry. I could have been more specific.....this is a NNE aspect viewed from the surface of Snow Lake, about 100-200 yards west of the typical steeper ski down from the divide. It appears to be about 45 degree angle terrain with steeper cliffy slopes above. Not a spot where anyone would typically ski, but perhaps indicative of some conditions that may be out there.

Gotcha, thanks!
