Skied up to the Sauk Mtn TH on Sunday with 2 friends (1 on XC gear and the other 1st time tele). Poor vis kept us off he steeper stuff near the summit. Left the car at 2 and back just as it got dark.
The road is passable to ~2600 and skin-able snow is a short walk away. We cut up through a creek bed / avy chute to mix it up a little. This was fun on the descent.
Stability was great. Warm, wet pack with very little movement. Saw some wet slides that had come off the W face of the summit. We stuck to mellow terrain and had no issues
