My wife and I skied Diamond Head via the county line approach from tronsen head, we were planing on skiing the second chute on the east face but missed the top of it and ended up traversing to windy gully with only a short decent and then up to Diamond Head East. Started down the NE face of that planing to ski down to the road but cliffed out and decided to climb back up and ski out via the XC trail to be sure we made it out by dusk.
Day started sunny but clouds moved in and it was snowing when we left. Thin cover in many places, some dust on skiable crust, some heavy wet snow on crust and pockets of good powder in sheltered spots.
Here is the map, I would appreciate advice on where better spots to drop into these faces are. Accidentally turned the gps off on the way out so the last part is approximate :

Might have seen you going up the Windy Gully just as I was skiing onto Diamond Head's NE face from the county line route. The 2nd chute is not obvious from the plateau as there are some trees to ski through first.
Check out Wenatchee Outdoors guide book for backcountry skiing for the Diamond Head East Peak route. They've got a good map of the whole Tronsen basin. http://www.justgetout.net/Wenatchee/

There's only one "safe" route off the northerly slopes of Windy Knob(Diamond Head East?) You likely missed it by a few yards if you got cliffed out. The NNE face is very steep and the gully below seems to always be filled with copious avalanche debris.
